You suckas got served!
Pretty cool day. Went to work as usual. Beforehand, picked up Kailee and stopped by Fry's Electronics. I was fortunate enough to find FOUR sealed copies of Final Fantasy Chronicles for only $14.99 each! WTF! What a deal. After work, I come home and check ebay and see they go for $70+ Not bad. I'll wait a lil bit as the prices continue to increase.

n8machine and G' came over, as did Ace. n8 was kind enough to hook me up with his Genesis Model 1 and Sega CD Model 1. Another kind donation to the geekmode. :bows:

Nice fun filled weekend planned. Kailee is going to be chilling with me a lot over the next week and a half. Yay.

Ninitendo sila!
Hope to see everyone at SDFC tomorrow.

A bed time story before I part....

It was a night I won't soon forget... feeling cheerful about the events of today where I was fortunate enough to come across some great finds at Goodwill...

I came upon a Sega Dreamcast in pristine condition... a mere $9.99!? Wow, I definately had to pick it up... upon browsing some more I found a box which read "GENESIS"... sure enough it was a complete in box Sega Genesis Model II system that I have been looking for. Ecstatic I brought them home and cleaned 'em and tested them. Relieved, they were in perfect working condition. A most welcome addition to my console collection.

Since I was in the mood of cleaning/testing, I decided to test my SNES and NES. I had recently received a copy of Chrono Trigger in the mail, and had several other SNES and NES games to test. Unfortunately two of my more favored titles, Final Fight & Street Fighter Alpha 2, ended up being defunct. So after tinkering with the great nostalgia that was SNES. I moved to an even bigger trip of nostalgic proportions... the great NES. What started off my gaming career, would soon be a vicious reality check and comparison to present day geekmode.

My good friend Ace and I popped in King's Quest V just to make sure it was working, it did, graphics were amazingly smooth for a NES game. Then we popped in some T&C Surf and Skate. Suprising to us, we sucked bad. I could not even pass the first level... Ace ended up passing the first level but we soon realized that we ain't got it no more... gone are our old school gaming skills... maybe it was a test of time? Not used to it anymore? So we continue and pop in THE classic. Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt goes on. We play 2 Players... Level 1-1... I run towards the first Goomba ready to bash on his head when suddenly I am greeted with laughter and the melody of losing a man. WTF. The first Goomba owned me up. I died within seconds. Sure it may have been a mishap or mistiming if you will. We played for what seemed to be close to an hour and ended up beating the game. Looking back on how intuitive and reflex heavy the old NES games were, comparing them to today... the general games that come out now, are no where NEAR as challenging to the human mind as the ones of my golden age... the NES and in some aspects the SNES.

Never again will I forget the day, that I defeat Bowser and rejoiced... and at the same time shared that feeling with humility of dying on the first Goomba in level 1-1 of the mushroom kingdom. Rest in piece my good NES. Current and future generations will hear of your sacrifices through me and my geekmode.

::bows in respect::

Late night/morning ramblings...
Watching the Filipino Channel is great. So much drama. Ang seriouso naman! Bakit ganyan!? Got my W2 forms in the mail. Good shit. I miss all my old friends from high school. I wish to hang out with them sometime. All this talk of Janet Jackson's nipple going on... it is by far the most famous nipple in all of history now!

Anyways, nothing much today... went to work... On the way home I copped a complete Castlevania 64 for the Nintendo 64 and copies of Persona 2: Eternal Punishment and Broken Sword II: The Smoking Mirror for PS1. Yay. A long week this is. And it has only just begun.

I miss Kailee already. Can't sleep again. Woe is me.

I am to acquire a Sega Genesis console within the next few days. Rejoice.

Monster!

Hahah.

Take out the papers, and the trash...
Sup everyone. Just doing some cleaning up on the CPU. I only got about 1 GB left on my HD lol. Going to get a computer sometime in the NEAR future. I had to delete a bunch of files I wouldn't be needing anymore, and I backed up some on discs. I was looking through a bunch of old files and I saw a folder chock full or resumes and letter of recommendations I've done for people... found lots of old homework from high school still lol. Even homework I did for other people haha. Got rid of that crap. Now I have an extra 300 MB -_- ... I need that new CPU soon.

Been looking long and hard lately for some SNES games... namely Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy III, and Secret of Mana... I also need a stupid Sega CD + Sega Genesis or a Sega CDX in the near future... I don't have any way I can play my Sega CD games that are coming in lol. Finally updated the lists. Went to a few stores and a new chinese food buffet place today. That's all. Kailee is conked out. Peace! +5 to MarkMan.
